Ever wish that you could make brownies or other tasty chocolate treats without all the sugar and calories and have chocolate snacks without the guilt? Well you’re in luck! I’ve got this awesome Protein Chocolate Chip Brownie recipe that is the perfect treat, and they’re gluten and soy free!
The best thing about this brownie is it’s the perfect pre-/post-workout snack and one that great for when you’re on-the-go.
As a child, I used to bake brownies every week, mainly because I loved the taste of the batter. Although looking back, they were so unhealthy. Making these brownies was a flash back moment, but in a way that promotes the healthy new me. They taste great and have a well-balanced portion of the building blocks we need.

RECIPE STATS: Only 93 calories each, 6g Protein, 11g Carbs, 2g Fat, 5g Sugar
1/2 cup Coconut flour
1 scoop of Nutrisumma Chocolate Pea Protein
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Cocoa Powder
1/4 tsp Salt
1/4 cup Stevia
1/4 cup Unsweetened Apple Sauce
1/4 cup Coconut or Almond Yogurt
1 tsp Vanilla extract
4 tbs Chia seeds mixed with 12 tbs of water (let set for 3-5 min) or Vegan Egg yolk
1/4 cup Vegan Carob Chips
- Preheat oven 350degrees
- To make the brownie batter, mix dry ingredients in a large bowl. Set aside the carob chips for now.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients and stir until thoroughly mixed. Mix until the batter is lump free. Then, add in the Carob chips and mix well.
- Use a muffin tin and spray cups (recipe can make 10 brownies). Evenly pour the mixture in the tin cups (optional: sprinkle additional 5-6 chips on each brownie).
- Place in the oven for anywhere from 15-20 minutes! Keep checking the brownies so they don’t dry out. Once center is cooked through, remove and let cool.
